Little Bear

On April 23, 2012, Little Bear was born at Pegasus. We had rescued his pregnant mother, Brooks, along with 4 other pregnant mares, a filly, three stallions, and some cattle. One of those stallions, Sundance, is Little Bear’s father. This beautiful, leggy Quarter Horse x Arabian has turned out to be quite a horse. He has big movement, making him suitable for dressage riders and casual jumpers. He has been ridden both English and Western and is a very nice trail horse. He also has mad liberty skills! Little Bear is a forward mover, which can be intimidating to the unconfident rider. Relationship with his person is of utmost importance to him. Trust is key. Little Bear has been adopted twice and returned twice. In both instances, the adopters were not confident enough and became fearful when riding him out. As a result, we recommend Little Bear only be adopted by an experienced, confident rider with skills and talents that match Little Bear’s awesome nature.
