Cassidy
Cassidy is a 15-year-old Quarter Horse mare. She was the first foal born to the pregnant mares of the Jacksonville Herd (whom we rescued in 2011). We raised Cassidy and trained her, and she was adopted as a 4-year-old. Cassidy moved to Colorado and later New Mexico with her adopter. Years later she returned to Pegasus due to her adopter’s serious illness. Shortly after her return, Cassidy injured her left front foot, requiring surgery. Cassidy has fully healed from that procedure and is ready for adoption. Cassidy is currently in corrective shoes and is completely sound. Time will tell if she can stay sound and available for light riding. Her farrier thinks so! She is very dominant in the pasture and would do best in a home where she can be adopted with her best donkey pal, Colby!
